MEET THE CREATIVE FORCE BEHIND LASHDAE
With over 30 years of beauty experience, 11 years in professional fashion, and 9 years of coaching and talent development, Daetriel King-Bey-Hayes is an award-winning creative director, licensed cosmetologist, wardrobe stylist, runway producer, and entrepreneur.
Founder of LASHDAE LLC and two-time Showcase the Arts Stylist of the Year (2024 & 2026), Daetriel brings beauty, fashion, education, and community together through one mission: Creating Collective Confidence.
From her first paid braiding clients at age ten to producing award-winning runway presentations and launching her own fashion line, Daetriel believes confidence begins with embracing your individuality.

FROM DREAMS TO THE RUNWAY
The Evolution of a Creative Visionary
1995–2008 | THE FOUNDATION
At eight years old, Daetriel discovered her passion for hairstyling after her mother encouraged her to embrace and care for her natural hair. By ten, she was earning money braiding hair. At sixteen, she entered her first salon, later graduating from cosmetology school in 2008.
2009–2015 | FOLLOWING THE DREAM
From sketching fashion designs in elementary school to participating in school talent and fashion shows, creativity was always part of Daetriel’s identity. In 2009, she began studying Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Inspired by Arabella Marketing and PR founder Shamira Benson, she transitioned professionally into fashion in 2015.
2017–2019 | DESIGNS BY DAETRIEL
After modeling and contributing to competition-winning runway productions, Daetriel founded her theatrical runway team, Designs By Daetriel, in 2017. She began professionally coaching talent, combining fashion, performance, and storytelling to create award-winning runway experiences.
2022 | THE BIRTH OF LASHDAE
What began as an unexpected gift became the foundation of a new creative empire. In 2022, Teek Teek of The BeatBox gifted Daetriel a business opportunity centered around colorful lashes. As a performer, Daetriel began selling lashes straight from her backpack at events. Recognizing the potential to create something uniquely her own, she transformed that opportunity into a brand and named it LASHDAE.
2023–2024 | FROM BACKPACK TO RUNWAY
In 2023, Shamira Benson of Arabella Marketing and PR encouraged Daetriel to return to the fashion industry she loved. Determined to bring her lash brand to the runway, Daetriel combined her theatrical production experience with her colorful products to create a unique fashion presentation.
LASHDAE made its runway debut at Runway For Our Teachers in 2023, and LASHDAE LLC was officially established that summer. In 2024, the brand earned its first Stylist of the Year award at Showcase the Arts.
2025–2026 | BUILDING THE LEGACY
In 2025, LASHDAE expanded its creative opportunities by introducing monthly paid model photoshoots, connecting talent with professional creative experiences.
2026, LASHDAE earned its second Showcase the Arts Stylist of the Year award, launched its fashion line, and celebrated selling out its first runway collection. That same year, Daetriel embraced another form of artistic expression as Empress Renaissance in the KiKi Ballroom community competing in categories: Face, Runway and Best Dressed. Today, LASHDAE continues to evolve across beauty, fashion, education, and creative production, united by its founding mission: Creating Collective Confidence.
